
Apple has released iOS 26.5 for iPhone. The update adds several new features and improvements, including beta support for end-to-end encrypted RCS messaging, a new Pride Luminance wallpaper, and new recommendation features in Apple Maps.
According to the official Software Update notes, iOS 26.5 includes the following:
Messages
- End-to-end encrypted RCS messaging (beta) is now available in Messages with supported carriers.
- Apple says encrypted RCS support will roll out over time.
Wallpaper
- Pride Luminance wallpaper dynamically refracts a spectrum of colors and is available for download.
Maps
- Suggested Places displays recommendations based on what is trending nearby and your recent searches.
Apple notes that some features may not be available in all regions or on all iPhone models. The update may also include security fixes and other under-the-hood improvements.
