Really confusing!! The unlocked iPhone5 (model MD297X/A) on Australian Apple store website sells for AUS$799 (i.e. about US$829). The unlocked iPhone5 (model MD293LL/A) on the US Apple store website sells for US$649. Can anyone tell me what the differences are in these 2 models? Why wouldn’t I buy the one from the US store and ship to Australia?

The below information is on the apple store for the philippines. There are no locked phones that I have ever seen in the Philippines. Generally people buy their SIM card at a 7/11 and pay with load cards when they need time.

There are post paid plans I have never had one.

Hi, I just got a 2nd hand iPhone 5 64GB black LCD – slate body this past Thursday. I was wondering about some things. It already has iOS 8.1.2 and when I restart my phone, I get the white screen with the black Apple logo. The seller told me that was normal when you do a reset for the phone. Is it really normal to have a black Apple logo with a white back ground on a black – slate iPhone? Also under Settings – General, the model code of the phone shows MD643C/A. I did some research on the model and it was for an iPhone 5 64GB white. Units sold in Canada. It is possible that this was a refurbished unit by Apple since the model code was meant for a white version and I have the black one?
