Apple has finally released iOS 5 to the general public. This update is for the iPad 2, original iPad, iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS, and third- and fourth-generation iPod touch. User will need to also download iTunes 10.5 and then check for updates. Please note that it may not be available to everyone just yet as the servers need to propagate.

iOS 5 has more than 200 new features, including Notification Center, iMessage, Newsstand, Reminders, iCloud, and system wide Twitter integration. An iOS 5-based version of the Apple TV software is also available.
In order to take advantage of iCloud, Apple has also released OS X 10.7.2 with iCloud support.
