Apple has released iOS 27.0.1, the first maintenance update for iOS 27. The update is available now for compatible iPhones through Settings > General > Software Update.

iOS 27.0.1 carries build number 24A446 and focuses on bug fixes rather than new features. It arrives two weeks after Apple launched iOS 27.

What iOS 27.0.1 fixes

According to Apple’s release notes, the update addresses three issues:

• iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max could unexpectedly restart when Face ID failed to authenticate.
• A color artifact could appear in photos captured at 2× under certain lighting conditions at f/1.48 on a small number of iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max devices.
• Opening Notification Center and Control Center at the same time could cause the touchscreen to become unresponsive.

Even if you have not encountered these problems, installing the update is recommended to receive Apple’s latest reliability improvements.

How to update

Open Settings, tap General, and choose Software Update. Back up your iPhone before installing, connect it to power, and use Wi-Fi if possible.
