Apple has released iOS 26.6.1 and iPadOS 26.6.1, delivering security fixes that were first made available in the iOS 27 and iPadOS 27 betas. The updates are available now from Settings > General > Software Update.
According to Apple, the release addresses vulnerabilities across several parts of the operating system, including Audio, ImageIO, the kernel, telephony, and WebKit. Among the more serious issues, Apple fixed an ImageIO vulnerability that could allow arbitrary code execution when processing an image, kernel flaws that could expose or corrupt memory, and a telephony issue that could allow an attacker in a privileged network position to intercept traffic.
The update also contains numerous WebKit fixes affecting Safari and other apps that display web content. These address memory corruption, crashes, unexpected process termination, and a flaw that could allow a malicious website to leak sensitive data.
iOS 26.6.1 is available for the iPhone 11 and later. Apple released iPadOS 26.6.1 for supported iPad Pro, iPad Air, iPad, and iPad mini models. Because this is a security-focused maintenance update, users should install it as soon as practical.
