How to Drum, developed by Ben Long, is an excellent app for the beginning drummer or anyone who wants to make a few beats on their iPhone. Not only do you get over 12 full pages of drum tips with pictures, but you also get a metronome. The Metronome allows you to pick a tempo and time signature and it will keep the pace allowing you to improve your rythmic accuracy.

If your just a beginning drummer and/or you do not have an actual drum set you can play the virtual drums that are built into this app. The Free Jam mode is awesome. It has 6 buttons for you to press including: Tom, Ride, Crash, Kick, Snare, and Hi-Hat. You can practice your drumming anywhere in the world right from your iPhone.

How to Drum also includes 8 jam along songs so you can get your grove on. It would be nice however if there was a record button so you can record some of the jams you create. Also if your sick on the standard sounding drums you can purchase some upgraded drum sets for $0.99 via an in app purchase.
