This update provides important bug fixes and addresses a rare issue where photos that experienced database corruption could reappear in the Photos library even if they were deleted.

Some users were reporting that their old, deleted photos were showing up after installing iOS 17.5. some of those deleted images date as far back as 2010. iOS 17.5.1 should solve the problem due to a corruption in the database.
