Here’s some very bad news for customers. Looks like some random orders are being cancelled.
Many customers are experiencing this. AT&T has said that this is due to not being eligable, while Apple has said it is due to stock reasons. Apple and AT&T have been playing the blame game.
AT&T and Apple have not issued a statement on the matter.
Here are the e-mails that Apple & AT&T have sent to random customers:
AT&T E-Mail:
“Your iPhone order has been cancelled.
Your credit card has not been charged.
If you believe you have received this email in error, please return to the AT&T store where you placed your order.
Sincerely,
AT&T”
E-mail From Apple:
“We were unable to complete the authorization process for your iPhone
order. As a result, we had to cancel your iPhone order. To complete the
purchase of your iPhone, please visit an Apple Retail Store or an AT&T
company-owned retail store.
To locate an Apple Retail Store near you, please visit
.
We apologize for this inconvenience.
Sincerely,
Apple Online Store Team”
