Apple quietly added the ability to watch Hulu Plus on Apple TV. Unfortunately this is only the paid version of Hulu and there is no way to watch Hulu on your Apple TV if you have a FREE account. Hulu Plus will run you $7.99 per month and you can watch it on your computer, iPhone, iPad, and now your Apple TV.

If you jailbreak your apple tv and install xbox media center you can watch the free hulu content on your apple tv. As of right now you cant jailbreak the newest 1080p model of apple tv though.
