What starts as a simple free message from AT&T may spell bad news on your tethered Internet connection.
“AT&T Free Msg: Did you know tethering your Smartphone to a computer requires a tethering plan? Pls call
888-860-6789
for details or visit att.com/dataplans.”
From what’s been said it is unclear just how AT&T is determining who is unofficially tethering, looks hit or miss to me. Most users messaged are on 4.1-4.2.1 and are using MyWi.
Did you get messaged? We want to know, tell us your story!
