Review: Maximem – A Simon Says type memory game

Maximem, is a memory game for your iPhone similar to the classic game Simon Says.

The game has a bunch of different settings to really customize the game to your liking. You have the ability to change the look and feel with options like the theme, background, and sounds. You can change out the default shapes to something you can remember better like fruit or animals.

There are also options to change the game type and skill level. there are three skill levels, easy, medium, and hard. The levels represent the speed, but I noticed that even on the hard, or very fast skill level, it is not as fast as I would like it to be.

This game is great for younger kids who want to improve their memory but it may not be as challenging for the older crowd. I am sure the developers will push out an update soon to make it harder.

I do want to mention that they do offer a way to make the game more challenging by offering the game type rotation and random. The pieces will move every time so you will have to remember just the pieces and not just the location.

Overall Maximem is a simple yet fun game that can be enjoyed by everyone and helps improve your memory at the same time.

Currently Maximem is a FREE download on the Apple App Store. There is however, a Full version upgrade that you can purchase from within the app for $0.99. This will remove all of the advertisements and the developers states that they will add new features later on, only available to full version members. The game is entertaining and FREE so go check it out!
