Delta Airlines Now Installing Device Charging Stations In Gates

Delta Airlines is set to set up charging stations in airports so that passengers will be able to charge their phones, tablets, computers, etc. They will have 6 100 volt outlets and 2 USB outlets in their charging stations.

In addition to the charging stations in the public gate areas, Delta is installing charging pads for phones and other smaller devices in Sky Club lounges. The upgrades are part of a $2 billion program to update Delta’s airport facilities and the stations should be in place by early 2011.

Well, at least they will be making this free, considering how much they nickel and dime you…

P.S. – I find it hilarious that they edited the image so that the iPad’s Apple logo is gone, yet it’s pretty easy to figure out it’s an iPad…
