We’ll Be Back Soon!

Hey everyone, we have been down for a good 2 weeks now, but as of about noon today, I was informed that our server is FINALLY ready, so we will begin moving to our new server, which can handle the massive amounts of push notifications that we distribute on a regular basis, as well as new articles. We are currently on a very unstable old server which can barely handle what we have.

So, during this week, you may see our site go down again, edited, and all. This is because we are moving to a new server.

Hopefully, we will be back on Monday December 6th at full speed again. We are also getting ready to announce some pretty exciting stuff here soon, so we’ll keep you updated on that as well, but that’s all I will say today about that.

So thank you for sticking with us during this very bleak time in which we have been unable to do what we do. However, we have not stopped working for a second, as you may have seen, I have periodically been posting YouTube videos on our channel as well as tweets on our Twitter account, while we get back on our feet.

    Freddy: I managed to dig up your info and I’ve made a replacement for you, however, there isn’t a way to email it from our @leimobile.com accounts, but if you promise to keep my back up personal email confidential, then I can send you your info. Remind me, are you on the sidekick prepaid plan or what plan/carrier are you on? I don’t wanna send the wrong thing. 🙂

    Angel: trust us, we missed you guys too. We’re working hard in finishing the transfer and everything, but it looked very bleak for a while. We had NO back ups left when this thing happened. All of our hard drives went “boom”.

    We have a new server and are working to getting as much as we can get, back online, as well as our Push Notifications system & our emails as well (which are totally gone, good thing I have a back up of my emails on my Mac).

    We’ve been trying to keep you guys up to date on our situation, but I’m really glad that people stuck around with us even in our most bleak of situations, thank you very much! 😀

    However, we’re not just coming back empty handed, we are almost ready to announce our latest creation, something that we’ve been working on since about January. It is a major update to our most popular product.

    We’ve been working on it since January because if you were to see our development process, we scrapped it a few times and really shuffled around a ton of ideas and designs that aren’t even close to what we have as a final product today, internally.

    I wanted us to really get this right and think you’ll all be pleased. 🙂

    I’ve been teasing it for a few weeks now, but we are almost ready to unveil it. 🙂

    hippoMan: Yeah, our servers are a complete disaster, but all we can do is rebuild and come back even better than before. We are going to hit the ground running and kick some serious ass. 🙂

    The goal is to have a grand reopening on Monday, as of today, it looks like we will hit that target on the money.

    We’re really sorry about being down for about 2 weeks now, these have been very sad and frustrating times internally as well. We’ve had some pretty interesting meetings and conversations about the whole situation, but we hope to come back to full speed and bring you guys the news again! We’ve missed quite a bit of major news, but I’m sure we’ll have a lot more to report on before 2010 is over. 🙂

    Hey Alan I’ve emailed you several times because I too need a profile replacement as soon as possible. If tommorow is possible that’d b great. I promise to keep your email private if that is the only way to get me back on, I have the 4.99 data on iPhone sidekick 1$ a day

    Sawpaw: lol, sorry to say but all of those emails were for nothing. Our mail servers went down as well as I had said before. I’m sorry. I’m stressed about all of the emails that people have sent us the past 2 weeks or so, they were never delivered to us. 🙁

    Here’s what I can do, since I don’t know your email address (I usually get an email giving me details of who comments and the email given, etc. but since I have no access to that information yet, I’m going to have to ask people to just send me a direct message through Twitter.

    It’s as secure as I can get at this time.

    So, for everyone who needs me to send them a replacement, follow me and send me a tweet to Twitter.com/Alan_Vazquez (or @Alan_Vazquez) and we can take it from there to exchange information so we can get the requests taken care of. 🙂

    flyezz: Yeah, same here. We’re already moving, we’re on track for a Monday reopening. 🙂 It won’t be 100% done for a while, but it’ll be enough to bring back our most important services.

      Well, our servers are still not up 100%. We are concentrating on bringing the website part up, mail servers, and push notifications. The actual website is almost ready, we are trying to fix a major Mail bug, and Push Notifications are next. The repo is the least of our worries, but we will be working on that as soon as everything else is ready.

    Question that has probably been asked a lot lately. When the Repo is back up and running, will the be a MMS fix for the unlocked iPhone running on the T-Mobile carrier?

    After unlocking the iPhone 3GS on 4.1 with a BB 6.14.2, the MMS started to messing up– delayed messages, coming in backwards, no incoming picture. I’m sure many have the same problem.

    hey i saw you have your repo for the simple mobile fix up on cydia but when i try to install the mms fix it gives me an error. should i wait longer and try to install it again? or what should i do? thanks so much

    Hi I have iPhone4 in 4.0.2 with simplemobile can’t seem to receive pictures. I tryed to down load simple mms fix but it just tells me it’s not found?

    Guys, as I have said before, the repo is not up. We are focusing on what’s important to the company, which is the website, mail, and push services. Yes, the MMS Fix will be on the repo when we remake the repo soon. I’ll be announcing when services are going to be returning back to normal. Looks like we have fixed the mail bug, the site has had a lot of bug fixes, but we’re still working a couple critical kinks.

    Next is our push notification network, and finally, our APT Repository.

    So I would say sometime this week, we will hopefully have the repo back up, so please be patient. 🙂

    I had followed the directions to get my mms to work and it worked I also had swirlyMMS app installed I tried to open it and it removed my camera icon from text area. What to do?
