You can now Pre-Order the T-Mobile iPhone 5

T-Mobile has started taking pre-orders for the newest model of the iPhone 5 that works on their network. Pricing options are as followed for the 16GB:

You can pay $99 down and then $20 each month for 24 months or you can purchase it outright for $579.99. Purchasing it through T-Mobile will save you $69, as Apple charges $649 for an officially unlocked 16GB iPhone 5.

It appears that there is only a 16GB white or black option available. Those of you wishing for a 32GB or 64GB will have to wait. UPDATE: It appears existing T-Mobile users can select all sizes and colors when pre-ordering the iPhone 5.

New 128GB 4Th Generation iPad Coming February 5th

A new 128GB 4th generation iPad is coming February 5th. Many have wondered why Apple has taken so long to produce a super high capacity iPad. 128GB modules have been available for years. Our guess is that the cost per module was too high until now to fit in their current line up.

The new 128GB iPad will cost $799 for the WiFi model and $929 for the WiFi + Cellular model. It will still be offered in both black and white colors. Now those of you who need more capacity than just 64GB have this option available if you have some extra money to spend.

No word yet on the 5th generation iPad, but we can expect that the 16GB model will get phased out soon and we will see 32GB as the entry level iPad.

iPhone 5 Scratches Very Easy

The iPhone 5 scratches very easy as you can see from the picture above. It looks like the guys at Zagg and other clear protective shield and case manufactures will love this. Lots of people like to put cases on their iPhone for looks, others put them on for protection, but now it appears you will have to protect your iPhone 5 in some way shape or form or it will look like garbage in a few short days.

The photo above show the damage that the iPhone sim card removal pin did to the back of the black iPhone 5. The edge, circled in yellow, was done with a pair of keys.

Since Apple is now using an aluminum metal and painting it black, scratches are going to be really easy to get and they will definitely show on the black model.

We have no word on what the white model looks like scratched yet. Is this going to change you color choice? What color are you going to get?

Review: Loop iPod Nano Wristband

The iPod nano has been destined to be a watch ever since its release. I have had several watch bands but this one really is my favorite. I found it on kickstarter and loved it instantly. It is very modern and sleek looking especially in the sheer white color. My first concern though was if the white would discolor like most white silicon cases do but after about two weeks of use it still shows no sign of any discoloring. It is great as I have had tons of issues with cases discoloring so this is a great new change. My only problem I have probably had with the case is that it isn’t all too protective. The sides of the Nano are slightly protected but definitely not very durable and the screen is totally vulnerable with no edge around the screen to give any protection. This issue is solved very easily with a screen protector but it still can be a cause for concern. Overall though you are taking a risk wearing the nano on your wrist so just be careful and enjoy the style and function that this new wristband brings. There are a lot of options out there but out of all that I have used I would put this option first due to its style, comfort, and function. Check out their Kickstarter page here to get more information.

Rumor: Apple To Hold iPhone 5 Media Event On October 4th

Here we go, every day that goes by, we get closer and closer to the unveiling of the iPhone 5! Now, we had predicted that Apple’s media event would be on October 5th (judging by our sources and our own methods) but it seems as though All Things D has sent out a report saying that the event will actually be scheduled for October 4th.

Now, Tim Cook is expected to headline this keynote along with Phil Schiller and Scott Forstall.

Also, we are going to report that Apple is going to announce an 8GB iPhone 4 will make it’s presence as a cheap phone (aka $49 or free with a 2 year contract), a “revised” iPhone 4S with an A5 chip inside ($99), and the newer iPhone 5 ($199-$299) that features an all-new design, A5 chip, 1GB RAM, more battery life, 8 megapixel camera and a 4 inch display, and will only come in 16GB & 32GB configurations. No 64GB people.

Oh, and there is one more thing. A white 5th generation iPod touch will make it’s appearance with an A5 chip and little else.
