Review: Kids’ Dental Health for iPad
Kid’s Dental Health is an iPad application that was developed to teach young kids the importance of dental hygiene. Kid’s Dental Health was created by TwoTea Applications. This interactive book offers the ability to read the book out loud to your children or if they already know how to read you can turn the voice over off.
When you start you get the option to choose between 4 characters who help emphasize and teach the basics of oral hygiene such as, brushing, flossing, eating healthy food, and visiting the dentist.
Kids’ Dental Health has very nice graphics and looks like a normal paperback picture book your child would read. It features interactive mini games to keep them entertained and also fun sounds when they click on certain parts of the page. Kids’ Dental Health is priced at $1.99 on the App Store. If your looking for an easy way to teach children about their dental hygiene that be sure to check out this app.
I do want to point out that this app is currently not supported on the New iPad, but the developer will have an update released very soon.

Review: Ringtones Store
Today we got the chance to test out a new app called Ringtones Store. Ringtones Store was developed by Saudi Gravity Co.and is a FREE app that allows you to make your own ringtones right from your iPhone. Ringtones Store lets you choose music from their included library and turn them into high quality ringtones that you can personalize and modulate within the application. This Free application lets you have full control over the ringtones you create. Just create a clip or sound loop, save it as a .m4r, connect to iTunes and transfer your created ringtones to your ringtones collection.
The overall design of the application is very good. It is simple and not overly done. The graphics look impressive.Ringtones store offers an In-App purchase of 50 custom exclusive ringtones for just .99, but also include some FREE custom ringtones to play around with. The Free tones are actually pretty good and they are a lot of fun to customize even further. The only downfall is that you cannot take your own personal music and turn them into ringtones. Hopefully we will see this feature added soon in an update.

Review: Cydia app Display Recorder
iOS hacker and developer, Ryan Petrich, developed the application Display Recorder. This application allows you to record your iPhone’s screen. It also works on jailbroken iPod Touches and iPads. Let me tell you that this app is amazing and worth the asking price of $4.99. If your an iPhone app developer and you want to show off your application via a video, Apple does not make it that easy. With Display Recorder you can easily capture everything on screen and easily export the video to YouTube. You can also download the video directly to your camera roll or download it to your computer to edit.
Some of the features of Display Recorder include:
- Records direct to H.264 or MJPG/AVI
- Easily manage recordings via the app or webserver
- Optionally records mic audio
- On-device YouTube uploading
- Adjustable framerate & quality settings
- Hardware accelerated video encoding
- Remote control via web interface
Creating a recording is very easy. You just open up the application and hit start recording. In the settings of the app you can change the activation to start a recording as well. I have mine set so that when I hold down the power button it will ask me if I want to start recording. This is perfect if you are in the middle of another application and want to immediately start recording.
Display Recorder requires that your device is jailbroken. Once your jailbroken, open up Cydia and purchase Display Recorder. You won’t be disappointed. If you need help using or understanding the features you can check out the help page.

Visual Data Transfer Between iPhones
We just did a review for Fishing Deluxe and skipped over a really cool feature. Fishing Deluxe allows Visual Data Transfer between iPhones. This lets you drag a drop pictures from one device to the other using Wi-Fi or Bluetooth. The animation is great. You can transfer lots of pictures. The grab thing about this feature is that you don’t just have to transfer pictures of fish. You can transfer any picture you want.
