Review: Voice Answer
Voice Answer is a Siri like alternative. Although there are some features that Voice Answer cannot do like setting reminders, making calls, or responding to text messages; Voice Answer is excellent at listening to what you say and providing you with the relevant answers. When you ask a question the answers are spoken out and relevant images are also given.
A few months ago we review the app Voice Ask, created by the same developers, Sparkling Apps, that created Voice Answer. Both apps are an alternative to Siri. The main difference currently is the knowledge base behind the app. Voice Ask uses ‘True Knowledge’, while Voice Answer uses ‘Wolfram Alpha’. Siri also uses Wolfram Alpha. Voice Answer is the first voice assistant type of app that uses Wolfram Alpha, the others mainly use True Knowledge. Voice Answer also knows your location and you will get correct information about questions on the weather, sky overhead etc. You can also just decide to put the chatbot on and have a general chat with Voice Answer. Test her witty personality or just ask her to tell a joke or two.Voice Answer is a universal app so it works on both iPhone/iPod Touch and the iPad.
The developers have planned many updates which enhance the functions of Voice Answer. One of the updates will feature an animated robot as the interface. If your looking for a Siri alternative for your new iPad, be sure to check out Voice Answer. It is available on the App Store for $3.99

Apple to face Class Action Lawsuit over Siri!
TopClassActions is reporting that iPhone 4S users are in the beginnings to file a Class Action lawsuit against Apple over the misleadings of their voice assistant Siri.
“Are you unhappy with Siri? You’re not alone. A federal class action lawsuit claims the voice-activated Siri assistant on the Apple iPhone 4S doesn’t work as advertised, and is simply a ploy to lure customers into paying $100 more for the 4S.
iPad 3 Announced Called The new iPad?
Today is all about the new iPad. The first new feature is the retina display, as expected. “Until you see it you can’t understand how amazing this is,” Schiller said. It’s resolution is 2048 x 1536. That’s 3.1 million pixels. “The most ever in a mobile device.”
Another big feature is an A5X processor with quad-core graphics. This thing will be very fast. Lets just hope that battery life is good too. Knowing Apple I am sure we will have great results.
The cameras have also been upgraded in the new iPad. 5-megapixel backside illuminated sensor on the back, 5-element lens, Hybrid IR filter, and Apple designed image stabilization built into the A5X chip with 1080P video recording. It also has auto exposure and auto-focus.
Siri is now an official part of the iPad, supporting US English, British, Australian, French, German and Japanese.
Now one of the biggest features is 4G LTE. The iPad 2 has 3.1Mbps on EV-DO and 7.2 on HSPA. The new iPad supports 21Mbps HSPA+ and DC-HSDPA at 42Mbps, with LTE taking blazing at 73Mbps. LTE is supported on AT&T, Verizon, Rogers, Bell, and Telus in the US. No T-Mobile again. Also no Sprint. All will be 3G world-ready, which is good news. Whichever one you pick you can roam anywhere around the world.
The new iPad will be priced the same as the old iPads and will be available on March 16th in US, Canada, UK, France, Germany, Switzerland, and Japan. 16GB is $499, 32GB is $599, and 64GB for $699. If you want 4G it’s $629, $729 and $829.

Get Siri on Non iPhone 4S using AssistantConnect
Recently released, AssistantConnect allows you to enable Siri on non-4S devices without the need for a proxy server. It’s simple, a 4S owner just sends you their authentication data and your set for the day. (Yes this still requires a 4S to be in the picture, but your data is at least safer this way)
Requirements:
iPhone 4S jailbroken
non-4S device jailbroken
Wifi Connection (can use 3G but this will be about 100MB)
1. Download Spire from Cydia onto the non-4S device. This will take awhile so be patient. Reboot once that is finished. Open Spire and enter “https://guzzoni.apple.com” as the Proxy Host.
2. Download AssistantConnect to the non-4S device and respring.
3. Download AssistantConnect4S onto the iPhone 4S. You will need to launch it once and then reboot your iPhone 4S. After you have rebooted Open AssistantConnect4S, hold down the home button to launch Siri and then cancel. Then tap “Email Siri Data” and send it to yourself (Or whoever).
4. Open the email on the non-4S device and tap “Open in AssistantConnect”. The app will open and show you how long the authentication data is good for.
5. Goto Settings > General > Siri and enable Siri. Enjoy!
*The Authentication data only lasts for 24 hours, from the time it was created on the iPhone 4S, you will have to reauthenticate using the 4S but at least your not using some spooky server that could be using your personal info
