Review: Soo Thankful a Childrens’ eBook
Soo Thankful, by Dryade Fontenelle & Paul Schlarman, is a children’s eBook for the iPad. It is a cute book that is 44 pages longs with amazing illustrations optimized for the Retina display of the iPad.
This book describes tons of things that little children should be thankful for and uses easy words to help young children read. The sentences are put together in a rhyming fashion to engage the reader and offering and interesting and fun to read picture book.
This picture book is perfect for youngsters. I would however like to see the developer make the book interactive. For example, you could click on the dock and it would bark. I am sure the developer will get more creative as time goes by. The nice thing about buying books for the iPad instead of physical books is that you can get FREE updates!
Soo Thankful is available on the Apple App Store for $2.99 and was just released a few days ago. If you have a young child who enjoys reading books on the iPad, this is a great one to check out.
Apple Refreshes The New iPad – Makes it Newer
Apple has pissed a lot of people off today, especially people who just bought The New iPad. Today they just refreshed that model after just 7 months. The new 4th Generation iPad has a few minor changes, but enough changes to get people upset.
The New iPad that was just announced today will stay at the same exact price point. You will however notice that Apple is moving everything away from the 30 pin dock connection to the new Lightning interface. Keeping the 10 hour battery life the same, the newer iPad has been upgraded from an A5X processor to the new A6X processor offering 2x the performance. You will also see 2x the speed with an upgraded dual-band wifi antenna.
The new iPad has also been upgraded with a 720p HD front FaceTime camera that features 1.2 megapixels, and an upgraded 5-Megapixel f/2.4 AF rear camera. You can pre-order the new iPad with Retina display October 26th.

Rumble News is the first news tool that lets the users cherry-pick specific sections of interest from each publisher into one slick reading environment. Everyone has their preferred blogs & websites for daily news consumption. Statistics show the average American reads 4-5 different news sources each day, some as many as 10. Daily News is a habit and Rumble News makes the addiction easy.
The application also integrates socially. Each member can create and share their own Rumble Channels. Rumble Channels is a community where members can choose to follow the reading habits of other fellow Rumble users. That means that whenever a member reads a news or blog item, he can post and share it over his own Rumble channel, making it instantly visible to his friends and followers. Each member is ranked by popularity and the news they post is ranked based on that popularity. As for design, Rumble News gets 4.5 stars. The application is easy to navigate and looks beautiful. There are a few downfalls that I am sure they will work on. First off, it looks like the text has not been updated for the Retina display iPad. This I am sure is an easy fix in a future update. Next, the way stories are laid out makes it hard to read the smaller stories. The larger stories seem like they should be the most important stories, but that is not always the case. Don’t get me wrong, there may be a few minor flaws with Rumble News, but overall this app makes reading your news very easily and enjoyable.
Rumble News is priced completely wrong. It is FREE!! I am not sure how they are making any money, but this application is easily worth $0.99 if not more. Go grab Rumble News now before they decide to charge for it so you can save yourself a few bucks.
