Amazon Instant Video Now available on the iPhone
More and more major applications are hitting the iPhone this week. Up next we have Amazon Instant Video. If your not familiar with Amazon Instant Video, you have been missing out. It is a Netflix like service that allows you to stream videos anywhere.
If you are an Amazon Prime member
Amazon Instant Video has been available on the iPad for awhile now, and lots of people have been waiting for the service to hit the iPhone so they can watch TV shows and movies on the go. The only downside of the app is that it requires a Wi-Fi connection. This is a major turn off right now. Hopefully they update the app soon and allow streaming over 3G, 4G, and LTE. There are still plently of people that have an unlimited data plan, and a lot of the times the cell phone companies internet speeds are faster than home Wi-Fi networks.
Another downfall of the application is that Airplay is not supported at this time, so if you were planning on streaming videos through your Apple TV, you will have to jailbreak your Apple TV and use XBMC. Hopefully Amazon will address these issues in a future update. In the mean time enjoy your Prime videos on your Wi-Fi network.

Amazon Instant Video for iPad Released
Amazon Instant Video for iPad has finally been released. I know lots of people have been waiting for this app. I know I have. Unfortunately it only works on the iPad. So that means no support for the iPhone or iPod Touch. Hopefully Amazon will release an update later down the road to support the other devices.

HBO Go Now On iPhone And iPad
If you have an HBO subscription you probably already know about HBO Go. You can watch all you favorite HBO series and movies on demand anywhere. Get unlimited access to over 1,400 of your favorite HBO shows, including HBO original programming, hit movies, sports, comedy and more. Plus, get bonus features and special behind-the-scenes extras.
Now HBO Go is on iOS. You can stream over Wifi or 3G. It took me less than 2 minutes to set up an account and I was already watching a show. Currently there is no way to watch live TV. That would be really cool if they add that feature. So if HBO is part of your subscription go and download the HBO Go App.
Since I am not at home I have not been able to check to see if it supports AirPlay. I really hope it does!
UPDATE: We are getting reports that the HBO Go app only supports sound through AirPlay. I imagine there are some licensing issues that is stopping most of these companies from supporting AirPlay.

First iPad 2 Built Into A Car

iTunes Home Sharing Demo
For those of you who are unfamiliar with iTunes Home Sharing, It is actually way cooler than I thought it would be. You can stream everything from shared computers to your iPad, iPhone, or iPod Touch running iOS 4.3. Now we just need a jailbroken program that lets you hook up through 3G so you can access everything on the go. Below is a video demo.
