[Nonsense] Apple Rejects Apps Using Dropbox
Apple has taken obsess with their rules a bit too far this time. Apple is now rejecting that use Dropbox as a service because in some circumstances a user may be able to “purchase” storage with Dropbox through the app and bypass the In-App Purchase model.
Most apps rejected are given the following reason:
“Reason for rejection is the fact that if the user does not have Dropbox application installed then the linking authorization is done through Safari (as per latest SDK).
Once the user is in Safari it is possible for the user to click “Desktop version” and navigate to a place on Dropbox site where it is possible to purchase additional space.”
You know all those crappy apps that got on the AppStore due to lazy people in the review process? Well here’s the complete opposite, they took their time to dig through the app beyond where a normal user would care to go, just to find something wrong.
Dropbox has released an SDK update to help deal with this current dilemma, but Apple has already shown what kind of game they want to play.

5.0 – 5.1 Unlock iPhone 4S, iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS SAM Tutorial
Here is a nice little trick to unlock your iPhone. It is good for 3 years even if Apple closes the loop hole. This unlock will work on any baseband as long as your jailbroken on iOS 5.0, iOS 5.0.1, or iOS 5.1. To get started you will need to know what carrier your iPhone is currently locked to, your Jailbroken iPhone you want to unlock to use on a different carrier like T-Mobile, and a computer with the latest version of iTunes installed with a working internet connection for activation.
- Launch Cydia from your iPhone.
- Click on Manage at the bottom.
- Press the Sources button.
- Click Edit in the top right corner.
- Click add and type: http://repo.bingner.com and press Add Source.
- Click the return to Cydia button and then click on the source Bingner.
- Click on SAM (Subscriber Artificial Module).
- Press install on the upper right corner. Then Confirm. Then press reload SpringBoard.
- You will now be taken back to your iPhone’s home screen and will see a new icon titled SAMPrefs. Click and open it.
- Tap Utilities from within the program.
- Select De-Activate iPhone. Your iPhone will deactivate.
- Under More Information, confirm that your iPhone is deactivated and that SAM is enabled.
- Tap Method and choose By Country and Carrier.
- Tap Country and choose the Country of the sim the phone was originally locked to.
- The choose carrier and click on the carrier the phone is locked to. NOT YOUR SIM your trying to unlock. (For some carriers operating more than one Carrier ID you may need to select SIM ID.)
- Click More Information and copy the IMSI under SAM Details to the clipboard.
- Next Tap Spoof Real Sim to SAM.
- Go back to the main SAM screen and past the IMSI number that you copied earlier.
- Connect your iPhone to iTunes and let it activate your iPhone. ”Double click “Phone Number” parameter at the main device screen and make sure that the ICCID matches that of your SIM card.”
- Unplug your iPhone from the computer and close iTunes.
- Reopen SAMPrefs on the iPhone and disable it.
- Connect your iPhone to the computer again and open iTunes. You will get a message that says “The iPhone failed to actiave. Please try again later.” This is normal. Just close iTunes and open it back up. You will then get a signal shortly and your iPhone is unlocked.
- You should now backup your iPhone unlock ticket in case this method is ever blocked.
- Push notifications may stop working after this procedure but can be easily restored with “clear push” utility in SAM followed by connecting to iTunes.
Your phone will work normally with your SIM card and that SIM card ONLY since we have tricked iTunes to think that ICCID is one of the intended carrier’s. The phone can be rebooted and connected to iTunes freely without losing the “unlock”, at least for now.

Review: Electric Bird
We all know the Angry Birds phenomenon, hurl these little birds to take down some pigs. As fun as that is, theres times when you need something different. Electric Bird is that different. If you saw a bunch of birds sitting on a power line, what would you do if you didn’t have to worry about getting shocked? You’d pull that cable down and slingshot those birds into the open sky!!
Electric Bird is simple. Pull that wire to send the birds flying, and on the way up collect stars by tilting your device. To move on to other sections of the game you have to collect a certain number of stars throughout the previous levels. After Section 1 you run into hazards that will cause level fails, but I’m going to leave that to the reader to find out 
This game is GameCenter capable so you can get achievements and the works.

Review: Place
Today I’m reviewing a neat little App called Place, by Sparlking Apps the same who brought us Talk to Eve. Don’t know any restaurants near by to eat at? Ask Place! Just open up the app, type or ask, about a type of place and the app shall answer. You can simply ask “Where can I buy groceries?” and Place will find an point you to a handful of locations around you that can meet your need. Once you’ve picked a place, the app will read you the name and address and you’re ready to go.
Another cool feature is once you’ve found a place, you can use your iDevice’s camera to guide your way there via Augmented Reality. Just fire up the Augmented Reality view and a little arrow will point you in the right direction, and a little blip will appear in the camera view to identify the place you are looking for.
Place for iOS is now available for $.99 on the AppStore and is worth it for those of you who get lost quickly

Review: Endless War
Today we are looking at Endless War by Omnitel. Endless War is a very graphical space shooter game with one simple rule: Get them before they get you! The controls aggravate me a bit however, you have to drag your ship where you want it on screen. The bright side is your ship fires automagically so you only need one finger to play the game. Granted this was being played on the iPhone, shouldn’t be too bad on the iPad
As you can see there is a lot going on at any given point in the game. This game is defiantly worth checking out on the AppStore.
