iPhone OS 4.0 Beta 4 Now Available!
iPhone OS 4.0 beta 4 is now live! Go to the developer center and get it while it’s hot! I would wait though, Apple’s servers usually get slammed when there’s a new iPhone OS beta on the loose.
Mike will have a full change log of what’s going down in beta 4 after he updates.
(Brandon and I are not updating because we need to keep our unlocks/jailbreaks and Mike has an officially unlocked iPhone 3G S)
We should still have spots open in our developer program to get 4.0 before everyone else! $10 a pop.
iPhone OS 4.0 for the iPad is due in the fall, so us developers will most likely get 4.0 betas at WWDC 2010 this June while iPhone OS 4.0 (for iPhone/iPod touch) is released to the public.
GodFinger Review
OK what can I say about this game except for the fact that all of us here at LEI Mobile are hooked!
The idea of the game is that you start off as god of a barren dump of a rock in space from which you have to fill with life by giving it rain, sunshine, life, etc. As you progress through the game your planet will populate with beings that you turn into followers that you can use to make the planet even bigger, just don’t let them get into your nukes ok Bender? Lol
This is a Plus+ Networks game and you can use that to view other planets that your friends have created, which is why y’all should all add the LEIMobile gang to your galaxy
Mike is wittchow
Alan is appletimemac
Brandon is truehybridx
I pretty much give this game a 4 out of 5 since it’s addicting and from what i can tell on going, unless there’s a day limit and then the apocalypse leading ti the destruction of my planet but that seems unlikely.
Grab the iPad version from the US AppStore!
If you are interested in getting the iPhone version, check back later on for a tutorial on how to get access to the Canadian AppStore which seems to have it.

UPDATE 2: It’s Live! Go update right now and go get your plans and the app is chalk full of helpful information.
Once again, I’m very sorry for the inconvenience and the trouble, we won’t let this happen again.
UPDATE: I have just shipped over the 1.0.2 update that fixes all of the issues you have been experiencing. Optimo and BigBoss have received the updated application and it should be live soon. It can take a matter of minutes or a few hours, depending on how many apps other developers are releasing today.
Alright guys, here’s the 411 on what’s going on. Look, I did correct a bug in the 1.0.1 update that went live a few hours ago. It fixed an MD5 bug.
However, what’s the REAL bug? Nothing. There is no bug at all. The code is perfect. Turns out, the “crashing bug”, isn’t a bug at all. It’s a feature.
Turns out that the iPhoneSK app had our special anti-piracy code in it. You see, it’s now standard protocol here at LEI Mobile to include some sort of anti-piracy code into apps that we send to the App Store. However, since this project was very much kept secret, even internally here at LEI Mobile, the code was mistakenly placed in the app.
Not only that, to stick to our projected launch date, I jumped the gun and forgot to give the code a final look through before I hit that nice looking “build” button in XCode.
So, we are currently giving a 3X pass through to check for any other little things we may have either added or left out.
We will be submitting this final update for this “bug” later today. You should be able to get the update either later tonight or tomorrow morning for sure.
I apologize very sincerely and offer my sincerest apologies for the stupid little mistakes and events that lead to all of these headaches.
All I can say is that I am happy that I found the bug and that it’s being corrected now.
Thank You.

Apple Urges Users Not To Jailbreak In “Support” Section
Well guys, Apple has finally gone off the deep end. They have actually taken the time to write up an article on reasons on why not to jailbreak. The article was created on April 16th of this year. I stumbled on this article after getting a random tip on Twitter.
Well, Apple gives some very stupid reasons to not jailbreak. They state this in regards to jailbreaking:
Unauthorized modification of iPhone OS has been a major source of instability, disruption of services, and other issues

Seamlessly Embedded Heart Rate Monitor In Next iPhone
Looks like Apple just applied for another cool patent. They have had great success with Nike by tracking your runs, but now it looks like you will also be able to track your heart rate at the same time. This may make it into the next iPhone or even the next iPod Touch. Fingers crossed!
The electronic device can include a heart sensor having several leads for detecting a user’s cardiac signals. The leads can be coupled to interior surfaces of the electronic device housing to hide the sensor from view, such that electrical signals generated by the user can be transmitted from the user’s skin through the electronic device housing to the leads. In some embodiments, the leads can be coupled to pads placed on the exterior of the housing. The pads and housing can be finished to ensure that the pads are not visibly or haptically distinguishable on the device, thus improving the aesthetic qualities of the device. Using the detected signals, the electronic device can identify or authenticate the user and perform an operation based on the identity of the user. In some embodiments, the electronic device can determine the user’s mood from the cardiac signals and provide data related to the user’s mood.
