Review: Place
Today I’m reviewing a neat little App called Place, by Sparlking Apps the same who brought us Talk to Eve. Don’t know any restaurants near by to eat at? Ask Place! Just open up the app, type or ask, about a type of place and the app shall answer. You can simply ask “Where can I buy groceries?” and Place will find an point you to a handful of locations around you that can meet your need. Once you’ve picked a place, the app will read you the name and address and you’re ready to go.
Another cool feature is once you’ve found a place, you can use your iDevice’s camera to guide your way there via Augmented Reality. Just fire up the Augmented Reality view and a little arrow will point you in the right direction, and a little blip will appear in the camera view to identify the place you are looking for.
Place for iOS is now available for $.99 on the AppStore and is worth it for those of you who get lost quickly

Review: Endless War
Today we are looking at Endless War by Omnitel. Endless War is a very graphical space shooter game with one simple rule: Get them before they get you! The controls aggravate me a bit however, you have to drag your ship where you want it on screen. The bright side is your ship fires automagically so you only need one finger to play the game. Granted this was being played on the iPhone, shouldn’t be too bad on the iPad
As you can see there is a lot going on at any given point in the game. This game is defiantly worth checking out on the AppStore.

Air Playit – Remote Media Streaming App for iPhone iPad
Ever wished you could access the video library on your home computer via your iPhone iPad for playback while you are away? If your answer is yes, the remote media streaming app Air Playit is likely to be welcomed. Air Playit works by making your computer a personal cloud server to stream audios and videos directly to iPhone iPad via either WiFi Connection or 3G/4G network. To get this video audio streaming app working, you need to install the app client (iPhone Download Link or iPad Download Link) on your devices as well as install the streaming server on your PC or Mac.
1. After the streaming server is downloaded and installed on your PC or Mac, you simply tell the server which media folders to stream by clicking the “Shared Folders” tab. Two options are available: Add Folder or Add iTunes Playlist. You can also specify permission to your shared folder.
2. Air Playit supports automated server discovery on local network by Bonjour Service. You can also add remote server by specifying IP address.
3. Click “Play” to watch the video you prefer. If the video format is not supported by your devices, Air Playit will convert the video on the fly automatically. No need to wait before watching.

Review: Commander Cool for iPhone
Commander cool is an awesome addicting game that you’ll surely play for hours. Just as commander cool was going to take a day off, Evil starts up again. Armed and equipped with a parachute, he is flown to the battlefields and makes his way through forests, jungles, ice and snow, Fighting anything that gets in his way. Luckily he can collect coins and use health potions to help him to get through. With the stunning retro visuals and the 8bit music, this is a must have game on your iPhone, iPod Touch, and/or your iPad! This game also features easy to use controls (only 4 controls! Left, Right A, B).

Review: Ringtones Store
Today we got the chance to test out a new app called Ringtones Store. Ringtones Store was developed by Saudi Gravity Co.and is a FREE app that allows you to make your own ringtones right from your iPhone. Ringtones Store lets you choose music from their included library and turn them into high quality ringtones that you can personalize and modulate within the application. This Free application lets you have full control over the ringtones you create. Just create a clip or sound loop, save it as a .m4r, connect to iTunes and transfer your created ringtones to your ringtones collection.
The overall design of the application is very good. It is simple and not overly done. The graphics look impressive.Ringtones store offers an In-App purchase of 50 custom exclusive ringtones for just .99, but also include some FREE custom ringtones to play around with. The Free tones are actually pretty good and they are a lot of fun to customize even further. The only downfall is that you cannot take your own personal music and turn them into ringtones. Hopefully we will see this feature added soon in an update.
