AT&T iPhone 4 Pricing Explained
OK, so many of you have some questions about the iPhone 4 pricing and AT&T’s new data pricing that removed unlimited data.

If you are currently on the $30 iPhone data plan you can keep it as long as you want even if you are eligible for a new iPhone 4 upgrade. You will however lose the $30 plan if you want to tether your iPhone.
AT&T now has 2 data plans to chose from, Data Plus and Data Pro. If you want the tethering option, which will cost you another $20, you have to ditch your unlimited $30 plan for the $25 data pro plan. Data Pro offers only 2GB of data per month. All new customers will only have the Data Plus or Data Pro option.
Now, iPhone 4 hardware pricing.
AT&T customers: To find out when you can upgrade without a penalty you can dial: *NEW# on your iPhone which will generate a text message telling when you can upgrade. AT&T bumped up a lot of people to an early upgrade. They are taking off up to 6 months so be sure to check to see when your contract ends.
If you contract ends after January 1, 2011, you can still get a discounted price but you will have to renew your contract another 2 years still. If you do not want to renew your contract you can buy the iPhone 4 with no commitment. Please see the pricing below:
iPhone 4 16GB with NEW or eligible upgrade $199
iPhone 4 32GB with NEW or eligible upgrade $299
iPhone 4 16GB with upgrade date after January 1, 2010 $399
iPhone 4 32GB with upgrade date after January 1, 2010 $499
iPhone 4 16GB with no commitment $599
iPhone 4 32GB with no commitment $699
The iPhone 4 will be available for preorder on June 15 and in stores on June 24th.

iPhone 4 Launch Date Is June 24th… Why?
Hey guys, well, it seems odd to me that the iPhone 4′s launch date is so far out there, I anticipated a June 18th launch, however, I forgot to take something into account, the Steve factor.
As you all know, Steve used to be the CEO of Pixar and he is now on the board of directors at Disney. So? Take a nice guess at when their biggest film of the year will launch… June 18th.
Toy Story 3 is due out on June 18th, so Apple launching something on the same day would cannibalize sales for both companies alike.
Not Jobs-like at all. So if you can’t wait for iPhone 4, you can blame my childhood favorite, Toy Story.

Well, earlier today, Steve Jobs was giving his keynote at WWDC 2010 when the network started having issues.
it was a rather embarrassing moment for Steve Jobs as he started to feel the pain, especially when he asked Scott Forstall for assistance “Scott, do you have any suggestions?” [laughs] “Verizon!” yells a random WWDC attendee as the crown roars with clapping and laughter.
Now, if you pay attention, Steve Jobs makes the gesture, if you look closely, that looks like he’s saying “well, they caught us”, then, even more shockingly, he smiles. He then goes on to clarify that he is on Wi-Fi.
There is one more thing that is very interesting to me, if you notice, after the guy yells “Verizon” and Steve hears him, he doesn’t turn back towards the audience (and the cameras) until he manages to get back his composure and manages to get rid of his “damn! you got us!” smile.
This tells me a few things, for one, Steve Jobs is aware at how much of a piece of crap AT&T’s network is. As you can notice, when iPhone 4 switches to 3G he says “oh I know that (referring to the Safari failure message), I didn’t want the cellular network”. If Steve had confidence in AT&T, he would be using the “full bars & 3G service”.
To me, it seems as though Steve ordered his iPhone team to make a fake carrier service reception and an AT&T logo. I find it hard to believe that they get full bars at all times.
Finally, I believe that Steve Jobs knows fully well that his talks with Verizon are going well, as well as the Verizon iPhone’s development is going well also. He just doesn’t want to give away any more secrets, as if enough secrets haven’t been exposed.
So, there you go, my analysis on the 1 minute of video that I think will end up proving truth in the next 6 months -> 1 year.

iWork Coming To iPhone / iPod Touch?

There appears to be a leaked image that shows Open in “Keynote” button while viewing an attachment in Mail. The image has since been replaced by a shot that reads Open in “iBooks.” I expect that we will see iWork on all devices that are running the new iOS 4, not just the iPad. I am sure we will see more details on this when the iPhone 4 is released.
iMovie For iPhone 4
Well, along with the new camera additions, iPhone 4 will get a brand new application. It’s called “iMovie for iPhone”. It looks pretty cool.
You can pinch a time line, add effects, record HD video, and do so much more.
You can export it from 360p to 720p.
Some have said that “iMovie for iPhone: Causing AT&T Network crashes since 2010″, lol.
The app will be available for $4.99 on the iTunes App Store.
