Apple’s official firmware release site can be found here, but it may be a bit difficult for the average person to read.  Below we will make it easier for you to find all of the older firmware files for the iPhone, iPhone 3G, iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPad, and iPod Touch Devices.

Now that the date is set for May 28th, Orange has also released info on their iPad 3G data rates.  They offer a pay as you go $1 a day, weekly pricing, and monthly pricing.  Sorry folks no unlimited data options.  You will be capped at 10GB a month.

Orange’s rates are somewhat higher than AT&T but that is expected as AT&T supposedly made a deal with Apple to lower their rates to keep the iPad on their network.

Orange will also have 3G service in France, Spain and Switzerland, and others later this year.

May 28th International iPad Launch Day

The iPad will be available on May 28th, 2010 for international members.  You can begin to preorder on Apple’s website starting May 10th. Initially it will only be available in Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Spain, Switzerland and the United Kingdom. It will be available in Austria, Belgium, Hong Kong, Ireland, Luxembourg, Mexico, Netherlands, New Zealand and Singapore in July.

iPad Skateboard: Will It Shred?

Built To Shred host Jeff King and professional skater Chad Knight take a brand new 64GB iPad 3G and turn it into a skateboard. They have a few problems at first but eventually make it rideable and find a good use for it on the skate ramp. Pretty cool. A lot more entertaining than “Will It Blend” edition.

ABC 3G iPad App Update Coming Soon.

Some new iPad 3G users found out the hard way that streaming ABC shows on the iPad through ABC’s iPad app had some issues.  You need to be on WiFi currently for it to work.  ABC has already submitted an update to the AppStore and should be available soon.

In order to support streaming on the iPad 3G, App Developers must incorporate a lower quality stream in case you have poor 3G coverage. Since ABC rushed to get their app out I am guessing they did not put this in. They realize that people want to stream via 3G but in order to do so you will not get the high quality like WiFi offers.

So for now just sit patiently for the update and watch your shows while you are connected to WiFi.
