Apple Releases iOS 4.2.2 for Apple TV 2G
Hey guys, it looks like Apple has released a new update to Apple TV. The build number is 8F305 and the Apple TV reports it as being “4.2.2″.
No official changelog has been released as of yet, so we are not sure what this update changes, but by the build number, it’s not significant.

iOS 4.3.3 8J2 set to release soon
BGR has reported that Apple will release iOS 4.3.3 which will be out in the next week or so to fix the locationgate issues as well as some other bug fixes. BGR has an inside source and has been right on with the last couple of updates. They have an internal iPhone 4 build: iPhone3,1_4.3.3_8J2_Restore.ispw
- The update will no longer back up the location database to iTunes.
- The size of the location database will be reduced.
- The location database will be deleted entirely when Location Services are turned off.
- Battery life improvements.

Apple Releases iOS 4.3.2
Apple just released iOS 4.3.2 which contains improvements and other bug fixes including:
-Fixes an issue that occasionally caused blank or frozen video during a FaceTime call
-Fixes an issue that prvented some international users from connecting to 3G networks on iPad W-Fi + 3G
-Contains the latest security updates

Apple Releases iOS 4.3 Version 2 For Apple TV; Fixes Screen Flickering & Sleep Issues
Hey guys, Apple has just released iOS 4.3.1 (It’s seen as 4.2.1 on Apple TV). The update fixes a lot of the issues that people had been experiencing in the past couple weeks since iOS 4.3 (4.2 on Apple TV) was released.
Here is the full change log:
* Addresses issues that may cause the screen to flicker or display incorrect color on some older TVs.
* Addresses an issue where Apple TV may not wake up from sleep.
* Addresses an issue where audio may not be heard on some TV models after switching from another input.
* Apple TV Software Update 4.2.1 includes stability and performance fixes for Apple TV.
You can go to your Apple TV and go to Settings -> General -> Software Update and then it will download automatically! Make sure to download the latest TinyUmbrella and save your SHSH!

Update: Bug fix coming for Apple TV 4.3
A couple of days ago we posted about some problems with the latest update for Apple TV. Well, now Apple has confirmed they are working on a fix for the problem. Although there is no ETA as to when the fix will be available, at least they are working on it.
The issue is only being experienced by a limited number of users that are seeing flickering and screen flashes when trying to use an older TV that only supports 1080i. The Apple TV won’t output that resolution, but many receivers and TVs will take the 720p output and scale it up to a 1080i signal.
