BREAKING: Comex’s iPad 2 Jailbreak Leaked; Comex Responds
Well, here we go again, it seems as though a hacker’s hack has been prematurely released, due to a leak. Apparantly, Comex says his repository was hacked and people were able to download the jailbreak and redistribute it.
He is also urging people to save their iPad 2′s SHSH with TinyUmbrella so that they can jailbreak later.
Comex responded to the indent by saying the following:
Congratulations, some moron used a dictionary attack(?) to leak a buggy version and put me on a useless time limit.
Let’s hope the time limit isn’t too short… hasn’t been in the past but could always change. Everyone use TinyUmbrella and save 4.3.3.
Again, we don’t condone what happened here today. This is unfortunate since it is the theft and redistribution of a very respected jailbreaker’s work and it most likely killed the exploit for iOS 5.

Apple Updates AirPort Extreme & Time Capsule
Looks like Apple has released an updated AirPort Extreme & Time Capsule on their online pages. Now, the only new features that are listed for the Time Capsule are that they start at 2TB at $299 and a new 3TB configuration at just $399, also, Apple says that they now back up up to 75% faster than ever before! Wow!
I believe that Apple will release a software update for the Time Capsule in the Fall that will allow for the rumored iOS update cache and the “direct backup” from iOS 5 devices!
As for the AirPort Extreme, no changes are listed but it does say that it is “new”. Pricing for the AirPort Extreme has stayed at $179.

BREAKING: iOS 5 Beta 1 Tethered Jailbreak Released!
It looks like The iPhone Dev Team has just released (at 3:52a.m.) a iOS 5 beta 1 compatible version of redsn0w for the following devices:
* iPhone 4
* iPhone 3G S
*iPad (1st generation)
* iPod touch 4th gen
* iPod touch 3rd gen
Now, as I said before, this is a tethered jailbreak so if you need to reboot, you have to connect it to your Mac and run the reboot sequence within redsn0w.
Also, this is Mac only (for now)! MuscleNerd says that they will bring out a Windows version soon.
I, for one, am jailbreaking in order to merge my music & videos icons once more, it is VERY annoying having them be separate. Also, I want to dig into the OS and hopefully find some intriguing things…
Again, DO NOT use this for piracy reasons, we can not stress that enough.

Very late breaking news (3:15a.m. late breaking…) but it seems as though MuscleNerds ready to release the iOS 5 jailbreak that is for iOS developers only. This is not for general use. No one, except developers, should use this.
I am very shocked. I didn’t expect them to release the updated jailbreak since they traditionally don’t release jailbreaks for beta versions of iOS.
They haven’t done this since iOS 1.2 (2.0) was being created, but today, they are doing it again.
Keep in mind, this is a tethered jailbreak, so if you want to reboot, you will need the help of a computer.
