Review: Note Anytime – a full featured easy to use note taking app for iPad / iPhone

Note Anytime – a full featured easy to use note taking app for iPad / iPhone, developed by MetaMoJi Corporation, is an Appy Award finalist in the productivity category. Note Anytime gives you the ability to write, draw, sketch, annotate PDFs, and allows you to share and print your notes.

When you first launch the app you will have an opportunity to download some sample notes so that you can see some examples of how you can use this app. Once you get started you can view the user manual, view video tutorials, or just play around by pushing buttons to see what everything does.

When you create a note, there are a ton of sample models to start you off with different layouts and types of paper. If the included ones are not enough for you just jump to the in-app purchases store and you can get a ton more. Not only that but you can also purchase additional useful items such as different types of inks.

The application gives you the ability to sync your notes across different devices. Say you started talking some notes at school on your iPad and on the bus home you your iPhone. Just open it up and instantly make changes. In order to sync notes you will have to register for a FREE account with Digital Cabinet.

Some other cool features include the ability to grab a photo from your photo album or you could instantly snap a picture and draw all over it. There is even an interactive web browser within the app to surf the web. You can also grab a webpage and instantly mark it up with notes.

Even though Apple despises stylus pens, using one can be a tremendous help and can make note taking a lot easier. I recommend getting one along with this app. Note Anytime is currently a FREE download on the Apple App Store. There are more features for free in this little app than most expensive paid apps.  It will allow a lot of functionality for free, but if you really want to customize your experience you will want to check out the in-app purchases as well.

Review: Talking Goggles – a camera with speech

Sparking Apps has created a ton of great apps that we have already reviewed. Today we got to check out their newest app called Talking Goggles – a camera with speech. The technology in this app just blows my mind. Just snap a picture and this app will tell you exactly what it is and get you as much information on it as possible.

Talking Goggles is good with recognizing logos, books and (famous) faces. It can also recognize and translate foreign texts, but that is a lot more tricky. When it recognizes a product, you will get a price comparison for that product when you click on the description.

When you first launch the app you will notice a very familiar setup. Just press the camera button to take a picture, the video button for video, the flag for languages, and the lightning bolt for flash. Snap a picture and Talking Goggles will instantly tell you what it is or it with display the message: “No close image matches found.”

When you switch to video mode you can constantly record a video and when it recognizes something within the video it will give you information right on the screen.

Not only will Talking Goggles help you identify information just by a picture or video, but it can be a handy app to carry around while shopping. Just take a picture and let Talking Goggles find the cheapest price for you.

Talking Goggles – a camera with speech is a steal at just $0.99 on the Apple App Store. This app could easily sell for $2.99 or even $4.99. I am just amazed that software can analyze a picture or video within a matter of seconds and get it correct. Go Check it out! You will not be disappointed.

Review: Guess The City for iPhone & iPad

Guess The City, developed by Nguyen Quang Sang, is a universal application for iOS. The game is simple Try and guess the city based on the picture. The faster you guess the correct answer the more points you collect.

Guess The City is actually a very fun and challenging game. It can be very tricky at times, but luckily you can win hints and even purchase hints via the in-app purchase store. You can also remove the annoying ads at the bottom by paying to remove the ads.

Guess The City has 6 different levels with about 30 pictures to guess on each level displaying over 200 beautiful pictures from all around the world.

The game has Facebook, Twitter, and GameCenter built in so you can track and share you scores with friends. I really like that when you are guessing you get clues right away to see if you are right or wrong. If you get it right you will get  a green check and move on to the next one. If you get it wrong you will see a red X. If you happen to spell the city wrong you will not pass but it will let you know that you are close and display an orange mark.

The only issues I have with this game is that it is pretty hard unless you know you cities. Luckily you can get hints though. Also the background music is sorta annoying but you can easily turn that off in the settings and listed to you own music.

Guess The City is a FREE application so check it out on the Apple App Store today and test you knowledge!

Review: Winter Fishing Deluxe for iPhone and iPad

Winter Fishing Deluxe is very similar to Lifeware Solutions Fishing Deluxe, except for that it has been updated for Winter. Winter Fishing Deluxe uses the moon phases each day to help you analyze and plan the perfect time to fish so that you have the best possible chance of catching fish.

Some of the cool new features of Winter Fishing Deluxe include the ability to store weather conditions for your catches and display those catches on the map and calendar. Since your iPhone has GPS built in, you can get exact locations of where you caught the fish so that you can come back some other time and hopefully get lucky again.

Since Winter Fishing Deluxe is very similar to their fist app Fishing Deluxe, you should check out our review on that. Winter Fishing Deluxe is basically a polished version with a winter theme and graphics.

Winter Fishing Deluxe is currently priced at $0.99 on the Apple App Store. If you are someone who loves to fish especially ice fishing in the winter, this is an app worth checking out.

You even have the ability to set up multiple ways to protect the message including: password protection, location protection, drawing protection, and an expiration date.

Password protection is exactly what it sounds like. You set a password and the recipient must know the password to open the message. S2end is an application that anyone can take advantage of. The messages can be decrypted and red from any browser and can be sent to any email address. If the have a S2end account, the email box will turn green and you will not have to put a password in to encrypt the message if you don’t want. If the email box is read, that means they do not have a 2send account and you will have to use some form of encryption to keep the message private.

This application is currently FREE on the Apple App Store and when you set up an account you can send a handful of FREE encrypted messages, but to take full advantage of the application you can purchase in-app purchases for more messages and more storage space, because you can send attachments and even link directly to your Dropbox, CloudApp, and SkyDrive.
