Download Verizon iPhone Firmware

Firmware files are going to get harder to keep track of with the Verizon iPhone entering the mix. If you are looking for old iPhone, iPad, or iPod Touch firmware; You can find them here: http://leimobile.com/firmware-downloads/

Apple has a website that lists all the firmwares in one spot but it is a little tricky to understand so we will post the Verizon iOS firmwares with direct links on this page.

Initially when the Verizon iPhone was introduced it was running iOS 4.2.5, but at the Verizon iPhone launch they will come loaded with iOS 4.2.6

Apple Releases iTunes 10.1.2

Hey guys, looks like Apple has just released an iTunes update. iTunes 10.1.2 was released today and Apple only specified the following:

“iTunes 10.1.2 provides a number of important stability and performance improvements.”

After digging around in the documentation, we actually found that it allows syncing with Apple’s Verizon iPhone.

“iTunes 10.1.2 syncs music, movies, and more with iPhone 4 (CDMA model) and provides a number of important stability and performance improvements.”

Also, it is basically saying that it will allow syncing with iOS 4.2.5 (as showed at the Verizon press conference models, or it could bring update iOS 4.3 beta 3 support for anothe beta that Apple could be preparing for us today.

Last week, Apple surprised us with 4.3 beta 2 just 7 days after the first beta was launched. Today is Thursday, so it has been 7 days since then, we may see another beta today or tomorrow if the pattern continues.

Go ahead and update iTunes with Software Update!

More to come…

Apple & Verizon Announce Service Plan Pricing For iPhone

Hey guys, back on January 11th, Apple and Verizon said that they would be waiting to announce plan pricing on the iPhone, and today, however brief a time it may have been, we saw the pricing of their plans.

Individual voice plans begin at $39.99 per month for 450 minutes, with 900 minutes available for $59.99 and Nationwide Unlimited checking in at $69.99. Family SharePlans begin at $69.99 for 700 minutes, with 1400 minutes ($89.99), 2000 minutes ($99.99) and unlimited ($119.99) also available.

Messaging options check in at $5 (250 messages), $10 (500 messages), and $20 (unlimited messages). Customers can also decline to add a messaging and plan and simply be billed at a per-message rate of 20 cents text and 25 cents per picture/video message. Family SharePlan messaging options include the same pay per use, $5, and $10 plans as on the individual track, but the $20 messaging plan includes 5000 messages for family talk customers with an additional $30 plan offering unlimited shared messages across devices on the plan.

As for data, as we reported earlier, you will only be able to get an unlimited data plan for $30 a month, but the hotspot feature will cost you an extra $20 for 2GB of data for tethering, or $20 after every additional gigabyte that you use for tethering.

To clarify, if you get tethering, you don’t get knocked down to 2GB data entirely, you still get your unlimited data, but tethering-only data is only 2GB.

So there you go guys!

Apple Redesigns Their Website

Good morning! It looks like Apple has updated their website early this morning at about 5am (CST).

The menu bar is a lot more metallic or “metallicy” as my source said. The menu bar shows “iTunes” and it has a search bar. It feels like they used a lot of HTML 5 elements in this site redesign.

Previously it was iPod + iTunes but it appears that Apple wants people to think of iTunes as it’s separate entity. iTunes syncs iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad so it’s understandable.

Check it out guys!
