White iPhone 4 Thicker Than Black?
So here’s the latest debacle with the White iPhone 4. Are you ready? It’s .02mm bigger!!! According to some early White iPhone owners, this phone is slightly bigger then the Black iPhone 4′s. Does it make a difference? Depends on who you ask. Some people are reporting that they are having problems getting their slide on cases on the new iPhone, while others are saying the difference is so small it just makes your case a little more snug. One question that begs to be asked is: Will case manufacturers try and capitalize on this and come out with “new” White iPhone 4 cases?
Sitting next to each other on a desk, it looks like the plastic on both sides of the White iPhone has increased. Some are saying it’s an illusion and Apple is still listing it on their website as the same 9.3mm thick, although the .02mm that is being reported could be within the allowed tolerances that Apple has. Is this a legitimate issue, or does it just seem thicker? Anyone have both White and Black iPhones that they can measure with a caliper? Let us know.
BMW Apps: iPhone Integration Lets You Stream Pandora, Music, Tweet, And Post To Facebook
BMW Apps, is included on BMW vehicles beginning with March 2011 production. it lets you connect your iPhone to your car and easily run a handful of apps through the car’s navigation screen. You can stream your favorite internet radio stations over 3G, or use your Pandora app that has been updated to work with BMW’s apps.
You also have the ability to run social networking applications such as Facebook and Twitter. These are trimmed down versions of the apps that let you quickly see your friends’ updates and you can also quickly post pre-composed statuses such as “I am online in my BMW with BMW connected.”
These are all very neat features and I hope to see other manufactures integrate iPhones and iPads into their vehicles because I will not buy a BMW. The BMW app, Called BMW Connected is pretty cool. It lets you track the location of your vehicle and see some imported information like fuel and miles traveled.
Here are a few videos showing off how everything works:
Review: The Fish Dies in the End Game
This review was submitted by our guest writer Todd Swank. If you would like to be a guest writer here check out the Guest Writer page. You can write about anything you want related to our website and we even provide you with promo codes to apps for you to review.
The Fish Dies in the End, created by Gutenberg Neto, is destined to be 2011’s app of the year. I’m quite certain it will surpass Angry Birds in sales. OK. Maybe not. But it does have the potential to be a fun distraction for 6 year olds who stumble onto it with daddy’s iPhone while they’re sitting in the back seat of the car during a long ride to Grandma’s house.
The game starts out simply enough with a friendly looking fish who likes to swim up and down depending on whether you touch your iPad or not. That’s pretty much the extent of the controls. Now the game would be really dull if that were the extent of it, but as the title tells you: The Fish Dies in the End! You see, even though we’re all led to believe that the ocean is a vast space of water in the real world, in this game it’s pretty much jammed full of runaway puffer fish, jelly fish, stingrays and bloodthirsty sharks. There’s even the occasional coral reef you need to avoid or risk slicing open the bottom of your fish gullet. Sadly for the player, though, after you dodge all that stuff for a few minutes, the action gets pretty tedious in a hurry.
This app might be good to entertain the kids for 10 minutes or so, but I doubt they’d play it for much longer than that, but it only costs $0.99. Here is a video of the game in action:
Features:
* Gorgeous 2D cartoon graphics.
* Retina support.
* Several unique obstacles and enemies to avoid – beware of sharks!
* Simple, one-touch controls. Anyone can play!
* Randomly generated game – a different experience every time you play!
* Game Center integration – Achievements and Leaderboards.
* Multiple difficulty levels.
* Best way to kill time! (And a fish…)

Some interesting tid bit today, looks like the developer “Future Tap”, makers of “Where To?”, has uncovered a crash log that shows that Apple is now testing iOS 5 as well as some interesting location API.
Apple has been getting some heat from, what we dubbed as, locationgate this past week, so seeing a new location API is interesting. MKUserLocationBreadCrumb is the name of this API.
Now, to me, this sounds like a service that is constantly logging location data at a specific interval during the day, wait a minute…. that sounds familiar…
Anyways, we expect to see an iOS 5 beta on June 6th and a release in September, so make sure to stay tuned right here!
Here’s what Future Tap had to say:
“Just received the first iOS 5.0 crash report. MKUserLocationBreadCrumb sounds interesting.”
