Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer To Present At WWDC?

This one just seems odd at first glance, but if you think about it, it makes sense. According to new rumors, it seems as though Steve Ballmer may make an appearance at WWDC and even share the stage with Steve Jobs!

So why on Earth would Steve Ballmer be at WWDC? Here’s the weird part, sources say that he is there to announce a partnership between Microsoft and Apple that involves allowing Microsoft’s own development tools to be used to make iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad applications!

Now, why would Apple ever do this? (Here’s where it makes sense to me) Apple is being investigated by the FCC and the International Trade Commission for only allowing Apple’s own development tools to be used to make apps for the iPhone OS devices.

So, instead of falling because of Adobe or having anything to do with Google, Apple has decided to form a truce with Microsoft and allow their development tools to be used to make iPhone apps so that Adobe’s case can fall apart and have Apple off the hook.

Supposedly, Visual Studio 2010 would also be able to make Mac OS X apps! Apple allowing iPhone and Mac development on Windows would be a huge announcement that would boost app production for the App Store many times over.

I hope this is true, we could see some cool new stuff.

Steve Ballmer is said to be allotted 7 minutes of presentation time at WWDC for his announcement and a small demo.

WWDC 2010 is looking like it’s going to be an event to look back on for many years to come.
