Is Google Surpassing Apple With New Android 2.2 (Froyo) OS?: “Not A Chance”

Today, Steve Jobs replied to a question from a random person (as he does, and is doing more of recently) and this time, they asked a question as to regards to a Gizmodo article that claimed that Google had “leapfrogged” and “surpassed” Apple, the iPhone, and the iPad with Android OS version 2.2 (AKA “Froyo”).

Steve Jobs simply said “Not A Chance.”. He tends not to say much (well, sometimes he even gets into full arguments) but these words are very reassuring. This means that the iPhone HD (or whatever it’s going to be called) and iPhone OS 4.0 are going to ensure Apple’s top spot in the heated smart phone market.

Here’s the conversation:

Dear Steve,

Have you read this Gizmodo article? What are your thoughts on it? Do you believe Google is surpassing you guys or do you believe something different? What do you plan on doing if Google is surpassing Apple?
Any thoughts?

Sincerely,

Brian
