wtf lol why does apple even have 1.0 –> 2.2 still out there on their servers
why the hell not, lol. Those old iPhone and old iPod touch users can screw around now, there’s no more need to look for new jailbreaks, they can screw around. Hell, I’d go back to 1.1.4 if I could.
I downloaded the 3.1.3 software to restore my phone from the 4.0 but now that I have it downloaded, I’m not sure what to do with it.. Any help? Please:)

in order to install the firmware you have to hold down the option key (mac) or shift key (windows) and the click restore in iTunes. You will then be able to browse your computer and select the firmware you want to restore to.
This doesn’t work when trying to downgrade my iPhone 4 from 4.3.5. I get the “…not eligible…” message even though I’ve modified my hosts file. Anyone know a workaround?
I tried to restore your iPhone 4 Firmware restore file for 4.3.3, from iOS 5 beta 5, using iTunes 10.5, with my iPhone4 in DFU mode.
I got this error message:
“The iPhone ‘iPhone’ could not be retored. This device isn’t eligible for the requested build”
But, then I tried to restore Apple’s 4.3.5. This installed successfully.
