Apple’s iDevices including the iPhone, iPod Touch, and iPad have a Unique Identifier which is UDID for short. This number is 40 digits and specific to the iDevice. It is similar to a serial number.
Apple requires that each iDevice used for developmental and beta testing new iOS versions is registered in the Developer Portal. Some Developers may require your serial number to license their software and some may require the UDID.
To find your device’s UDID:
1. Open iTunes.
2. Click on your iDevice in the left hand tool bar.
3. You will see information about your iDevice and a picture of it.
4. Click on Serial Number with your mouse and it will change to Identifier (UDID).
5. It Now displays your Unique Identifier. To easily copy it, hit Control+C on Windows or Command+C on the OS X.

LEI Mobile 5.0.1 Coming Soon To Fix “Eternal Badge” Push Notifications Bug
Hey guys, well yesterday was a crazy day filled with Verizon goodness and a redesigned antenna to fix antennagate & work on CDMA.
However, we would like to announce a fix of our own. Today, I got a few emails regarding a bug that affects users who have Push Notifications enabled.
The bug is that the badge does not go away no matter what you do if the application is being multi-tasked. It’s a minor bug but it can be very annoying if you are OCD like I am.
Users noticed the bug yesterday after the 10 Verizon iPhone articles hit our site.
Now, it has been partially my fault that this bug exists. A few weeks ago, Brandon alerted me of this bug and I didn’t really pay attention to him or his bug report, so I gave the go ahead to ship the final product with this bug still intact. However, yesterday, I discovered this bug on my own iPhone and I quickly contacted Brandon to verify that this was the bug he was referring to.
We have a fix and we will submit an update to LEI Mobile 5 to Apple later today.
So I appologize for the relatively minor bug, but it was my fault for ignoring Brandon’s bug report and giving the go ahead for the product to ship without the propper patches in place.

Hey guys, looks like rumors and leaks about iOS 4.3 are 100% true. iOS 4.3 brings a bunch of new functionality.
The main new functionalities are mostly AirPlay related. Now, developers will be able to take advantage of AirPlay APIs and put them into their 3rd party applcations.
[UPDATED] Also, the HotSpot tethering feature IS in this build. Also, the build number for iOS 4.3 beta 1 is, in fact, the build number that was leaked to BGR earlier today.
Also, iOS 4.3 adds 4 & 5 finger gesture support for the iPad!
iOS 4.3 beta is available for iPad, iPhone 4, iPod touch 4th Gen, Apple TV 2nd Gen, iPhone 3G [S], and iPod touch 3rd gen.

iPhone Error Code 1013 Fix
It seems as though many people are having issues updating their iPhones to 4.2.1. They are getting the error code 1013 and are stuck at the iPhone recovery logo. This seems to be a common issue and is affecting many users. You can follow the discussion on Apple’s forums.
The first thing that you should do to try and fix the error is try to restore from a different computer. If that is not an option you can do some editing to fix the problem yourself until apple releases a fix.
To Fix Error Code 1013 From Windows:
1. Hit the Start menu then go to All Programs and then Accessories.
2. Open Notepad.
3. Click Open from the file menu.
4. Browse to Windows/System32/drivers/etc.
5. Make sure you select view all files.
6. Open the file called hosts.
7. Delete all lines that have “gs.apple.com”
8. Save the file.
9. Restore your device.
To Fix Error Code 1013 From OS X:
1. Click on the magnify glass in the upper right corner.
2. Type Terminal and then launch it.
3. Type sudo nano /etc/hosts and hit return.
4. Enter your password
5. Scroll down until you find “gs.apple.com” entries. Once the cursor is in front of the line type a # to comment it out. Do this if you see multiple entries.
6. Save the file by pressing CONTROL+O.
7. Exit the editor by pressing CONTROL+X.
9. Try restoring your iPhone again.
