Apple Brings FaceTime Out Of Beta; Now On Mac App Store!
Hey guys, looks like Apple has completed the FaceTime app! In a brief part of their press release Apple says that all Intel Macs can purchase the app on the Mac App Store for just $0.99!
We’re not sure what’s different yet, but we’ll let you know when we find out more.

Good morning everyone, well, as you know, President Barack Obama had a meeting with the nation’s most powerful technology CEOs. One of those in attendance was Steve Jobs.
Now, after debunking The National Enquirer’s report that the pictures taken were of Steve Jobs, we see Steve Jobs at a high-profile meeting with the president. He seemed fine.
President Obama had this to say about the meeting:
“We want to continue talking so we can work as partners to promote growth and create good jobs in the United States.”
We wish him the best and hope that he makes his return to the helm at Apple soon.

Hey guys, we have information that says that the images that were taken of Mr. Steve Jobs may not be as genuine as we previously though at the time that everyone re-reported what The National Enquirer published.
Several sources have indicated that they have word that it couldn’t possibly be Steve Jobs due to the fact that in the images, he was about to hop into a 1997 Honda Civic.
We all know that Steve Jobs rides in his silver Mercedes SL55 AMG with its license plate being a bar code. (Side Note: Having a bar code in place of license plates in the state of California isn’t technically legal, but it’s Steve Jobs we’re talking about people!). Steve Jobs is a billionaire, he wouldn’t be riding in the crappiest car in the lot, would he?
Also, it didn’t make sense to me that these images would be true as well. Why? He was having dinner with the President of The United States today. If he were that sick, he wouldn’t have showed up. I felt strange posting that piece of breaking news right after the “Steve Jobs is going to die in 6 weeks ” article. It didn’t sit right with me, it felt like I was reporting on 2 completely different people.
Not only that, he’s been seen on Apple’s campus smiling and acting normally. Sure, I believe he is sick, but the man in this photo can’t be him. If they had taken a picture of his face, I would believe them, but they didn’t.

Unconfirmed: Steve Jobs Has “6 Weeks To Live”?
Hey guys, some unconfirmed breaking news. The National Enquirer claims that Steve Jobs only has 6 weeks to live. Now, the person who has made these claims is not a certified oncologist, but according to The Enquirer here is why they believe their source, they claim that their source has a “20-year track record of spotting breakthroughs and recommending effective treatments long before they become standard medical care”.
Steve Jobs has been on his medical leave of absence for just a few weeks (with no date of return by the way). He looks frail in this image, which we believe is a genuine image of Steve Jobs. Also, he was recently seen on Apple’s campus with “a full and genuine smile on his face”.
I hope these rumors aren’t true, but who knows. I wish Steve Jobs and his family the best.

AT&T Still Sour About Losing Exclusivity; Disses Apple’s App Store
Hey guys, today, AT&T gave their keynote at the Mobile World Congress this morning. They spoke about their plans for the future of AT&T and their plans for 4G as well as the phone industry’s new “app store”, the Wholesale Applications Community. However, it didn’t stop there, AT&T CEO Randall Stephenson said that Apple’s App Store is “bad for consumers”.
Why would he say this? He claims that consumers expect to only buy an application once and expect it to work on all platforms, not have to purchase the application every time they switch to a new phone.
I beg to differ. First, who expects that? Who honestly expects something that was downloaded and installed on an iOS device to work on an Android OS device, or a BlackBerry OS, or Windows Phone 7 OS, or Symbian? Also, their “app store” would be a place where carriers can sell applications to their customers, thus cutting out Apple, Google, RIM, etc. out of revenue.
This is what has carrier’s steaming mad. Companies like Apple, Google, RIM, and Microsoft who have their own application stores, hubs, marketplaces, (worlds?), and are cutting the carrier’s out of the major revenues. Apple has sold 10 Billion applications and AT&T hasn’t seen a dime.
Not just that, AT&T was fine when they had an exclusive on the planet’s hottest mobile phone, but a few months before Apple and Verizon announced their secret (not so secret?) love, AT&T was already hard at work at distancing themselves from Apple. I think this is extremely low, even for AT&T. After all the success Apple has given AT&T here in the U.S. over these past 3.5 years by having the iPhone locked down and for AT&T to start dissing the device that brought them to beat Verizon? No AT&T, you have it all wrong.
HTML 5 is not a valid platform for mass application distribution and neither is dissing the iPhone (which is still GSM exclusive I may add). People need innovative companies like Apple and Google to compete and make their operating systems and their 3rd party applications better. If we all used the same standard, sure, it would let people use any apps on any phone they get, but it would also slow down innovation.
Everyone doing the same thing isn’t always a good idea AT&T.

Hey guys, well, moments ago, the iPhone Dev Team released their latest Pwnage Tool. This new Pwnage Tool works on all iOS devices (except iPod touch 2nd generation) since it uses both the limera1n exploit and Chronic’s untether exploit.
Also, they have perfected the jailbreak in order to fix the new iBooks update as well as the Apple TV Wi-Fi bug (Apple TV forgets what Wi-Fi network password is to be used after it goes to sleep or after a certain amount of time) as well as some other random fixes that should perfect the jailbreak and in turn, increase battery life. If you want the iBooks update fix, you should run the Pwnage Tool, or wait until Cydia 1.1 is launched.
I have been hearing a lot of buzz around Cydia 1.1 and I can’t wait for it to be released!

PwnageTool also includes two very recent improvements to the 4.2.1 JB: iBooks was just fixed by @comex and @pushfix last night so that it works as intended on DRMed books, and the wifi problem on AppleTV 2G was fixed by @nitotv, @DHowett, and @saurik. Both of these fixes will also be available in upcoming Cydia package updates, so if you’re already jailbroken you can wait for those updates rather than restore and jailbreak again.
