LEAK: iPhone 5 To Be Absent From WWDC 2011
Well here is some more crazy news coming from various sources. Sources are telling us that there will be no iPhone 5 announcement at WWDC 2011, why? Because there will be no mention of any new hardware, it’s all about the software.
This brings some uncertainty about the iPod & potential Apple TV 3rd generation announcements being in the Fall. I talked about this, it would be incredibly stupid to announce new iPods at the same time as anything else, especially the iPhone or the iPad (as rumors and new information may be placing them). I urge Apple not to announce new hardware for two types of product lines at the same time, it would be madness and they would cannibalize themselves at a time where the slightest move will give Android the advantage in this epic smartphone war.
It does look like WWDC 2011 will be all about software, not hardware.

BREAKING: Apple Schedules WWDC 2011 For June 6th
Hey guys, looks like Apple just announced their WWDC 2011 date and it’s going to be just as we predicted, June 6th. This is great news, however, this also makes me think that the “iOS 5 coming in the fall” rumor may be true afterall.
Apple has posted a place for people to sign up for the conference on Apple.com for $1,599 per ticket.
Apple’s invitation says “Join us for a preview of the future of iOS and Mac OS X.”
“At this year’s conference we are going to unveil the future of iOS and Mac OS, If you are an iOS or Mac OS X software developer, this is the event that you do not want to miss.” Phil Schiller, Senior Vice President of Apple’s marketing team had to say.
It also looks like the rumor that we published yesterday is turning out to be true. The invite clearly says “Join us for a preview of iOS…” this would make the Fall 2011 release for iOS 5 more of a reality, which puts a summer release for iPhone 5 in question.
WWDC 2011 will run from June 6th to June 10th in San Francisco at the Moscone West event center.

Breaking: AT&T To Aquire T-Mobile USA For $39 Billion
Huge news hitting us today. AT&T and T-mobile USA have worked out a deal where AT&T will acquire the USA division of T-Mobile from Deutsche Telekom. AT&T has offered $39 billion. In exchange Deutsche Telekom will receive $25 billion in cash and 8% in stock. This looks like an awesome deal for both companies.
Now AT&T will have a monopoly in the USA for the GSM spectrum. This deal will also help AT&T into the 4G market and lets hope we see a 4G iPhone 5 this summer. As soon as we get more information we will post the details here. Lets hope we can keep our current T-Mobile plans and will not be forced into higher AT&T monthly bills.

BREAKING: Apple Unleashes New MacBook Pros!
Hey guys, looks like Apple just unleashed their new MacBook Pros to the world.
These new Macs are speed demons!
It’s incredible, they carry dual core Intel i5 processors as well as intel’s new Light Peak “Thunderbolt” as well as an HD FaceTime camera.
Inside, the three models (13, 15 and 17-inch) are running on dual-core and quad-core Intel processors, which upgrades available. The 13-inch model will cost $1,199 with a 2.3 GHz Dual-Core Intel Core i5 and 320GB hard drive, or $1,499 for a 2.7 GHz Dual-Core Intel Core i5 and 500GB hard drive.
The 15-inch model comes with a 2.0 GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i7, AMD Radeon HD 6490M and 500GB hard drive for $1,799, otherwise pick up a model with 2.2 GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i7, AMD Radeon HD 6750M and 750GB hard drive for $2,199.
The largest of all, the 17-incher has a 2.2 GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i7, AMD Radeon HD 6750M and 750GB hard drive, and costs $2,499.

Hey guys, well as you may know, the Verizon iPhone launched on February 10th to the public (after a series of pre-orders), and we noticed that there were no massive lines for the new iPhone. There are a lot of reasons for this. When news reporters went there, people said it was due to the weather, but I knew that was not the case.
To me, it seemed pretty obvious why Apple and Verizon hadn’t caught as much attention as they wanted. The #1 reason I see is this, it’s still the iPhone 4. There is no difference, except carriers, since iOS 4.3 brings the Personal HotSpot feature. Also, to me, it seems pretty dumb to go buy a phone that is nearly 8 months old when a new one is coming in June.
The #2 reason, AT&T succeeded. AT&T did all it could do to lock people into $365 ETF, 2 year, contracts. They knew this was going to happen and they succeeded in locking down their customers. I haven’t seen such grace in doing so, they dangled a $49 iPhone 3G S in front of people, they gave everyone an early upgrade, and they did such a great job at getting people to go for it. If you know me, it’s rare for me to say nice things about AT&T, but this time, they deserve credit.
However, not this summer, but starting next summer, the Verizon iPhone will become more of a menace to AT&T. In 2013, it’s fair game. I believe AT&T bought itself a year and a half before this becomes a fair fight. Verizon has a long way to go, but I believe that they would be winning if this were a fair fight, but in technology, it rarely is.
Here are some figures that were released today as to the average of how many iPhones are sold every day at each Apple Store in regards to AT&T and Verizon. Trust me, these numbers will shift into Verizon’s favor in a year and a half.
