[Breaking News] AT&T may be cracking on tethering

What starts as a simple free message from AT&T may spell bad news on your tethered Internet connection.

“AT&T Free Msg: Did you know tethering your Smartphone to a computer requires a tethering plan? Pls call
888-860-6789
for details or visit att.com/dataplans.”

From what’s been said it is unclear just how AT&T is determining who is unofficially tethering, looks hit or miss to me. Most users messaged are on 4.1-4.2.1 and are using MyWi.

Did you get messaged? We want to know, tell us your story!

So att says that when ur iPhone is plugged into a computer for charging and u make a phone call that it is considered Tethering ….. That’s complete B@LLSHIT !!!!! I spoke to a MADELINE AICHINGER ….. and she is a complete moron …. She didn’t wanna transfer me to anyone else or even tell me her supervisors name but after some hollaring she gave me his name . They switched my plan from unlimited data to a 4 gig plan …… I will be gettin a lawsuit against u people …. And then when I asked her for the corporate offices number she was absolutely dumbfounded saying that she doesn’t know it but wanted me to write them a letter to them …. The hell with that !!!!!!
