Apple -vs- Microsoft….again

Now we all know that there are plenty of frivolous lawsuits out floating around.  But the latest motion filed by Microsoft really takes the cake.  Microsoft filed a Motion to Strike because the brief that Apple filed in response to a ongoing dispute was too many pages and the font was too small.

Really?!?

From the Motion:

“Under the rules, Apple’s brief cannot exceed 25 pages in its entirety, including the table of contents and table of authorities, and must be printed in at least 11 point font.”

Microsoft is “requesting” that Apple be given a leave to:

“file a brief that complies with the rules….”

I guess now we know why Micro$oft costs so much.  They must have millions tied up in stupid legal matters that aren’t relevant to the original matter at hand!  What is the original lawsuit you ask?  Apple filed a Trademark Application in Jan 2011 for the term “App Store”.  Microsoft filed an objection that says they can’t do that because it is generic.  And round and round we go.
