Apple Releases iOS 6 Beta 4 for Developers

Apple just pushed out the 4th beta of iOS 6 which is set to release to the public this September along with the redesigned iPhone 5. The biggest change in this beta release is that the YouTube application is missing.

We know that Apple has already ditched Google and moved to its own maps platform. Since YouTube is owned by Google, the YouTube application is no longer available as a standard application on the iPhone. You will have to grab it from the App Store if and when Google decides to release a standalone app.

Other new changes include bluetooth sharing, improved privacy, and the Passbook app now has a button that links to the App Store. We can guess that Apple will have a new iOS 6 section that features apps that are powered by Passbook. Lastly as with every beta so far, Apple has continued to improve their Maps.

Head over to the developer portal to grab the latest version of iOS 6 beta or install the over the air update.
