After 2 Months, Apple Finally Offers Officially Unlocked iPhone 5’s in the US

It has been over 2 months and finally Apple has finally begun selling officially unlocked iPhone 5’s. This is the GSM model, which is basically the same as the AT&T model, but is factory unlocked and ready to be used worldwide on any GSM network.

Apple’s supply of the iPhone 5 has been strained since the launch and availability has finally dropped down to around 1 week on all iPhone 5 models.

The unlocked iPhone only works on supported GSM networks, such as AT&T and T-Mobile in the U.S. When you travel internationally, you can also use a nano-SIM card for iPhone 5 from a local GSM carrier. The unlocked iPhone 5 will not work with CDMA carriers such as Verizon Wireless or Sprint.

T-Mobile USA subscribers can now get their hands on an iPhone 5 officially unlocked direct from Apple.
